How to Get Saved

"And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:" - Hebrews 9:27

"(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)" - 2 Corinthians 6:2

1. You must realize that you are a sinner who has broken God's perfect law, and are deserving of hell, and that no number of your own "good deeds" will ever save you. A person goes to one of two places after their death: heaven, or hell. Your sin is far worse than the world wants you to believe. I'm writing this so that you may see the truth about it and hopefully act accordingly. Please read the following scriptures from the King James Bible, the word of God.

"This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief." - 1 Timothy 1:15

"As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:" - Romans 3:10

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" - Romans 3:23

"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." - Romans 6:23

"And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt." - Daniel 12:2

"How much more abominable and filthy is man, which drinketh iniquity like water?" - Job 15:16

"But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away." - Isaiah 64:6

"Behold, thou hast made my days as an handbreadth; and mine age is as nothing before thee: verily every man at his best state is altogether vanity. Selah." - Psalm 39:5

"For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not." - Ecclesiastes 7:20

2. You must believe on and trust the Lord Jesus Christ alone and His finished work on the cross as payment for your sins to be saved. There is no other being in the universe who can forgive sins. Because of His mercy, He will spare you from hell. The reason Jesus died on the cross and rose again on the third day was to make salvation possible for us. He lived the perfect, sinless life on this earth that we couldn't live, and this qualified Him to be the perfect sacrifice for us. However, this means that He is the ONLY WAY to be saved (John 14:6), because there's no one else who is capable of taking away your sins. He imputes (ascribes) His righteousness to you when you trust in Jesus to save you from sin and hell! Amazing! Please read the following scriptures to see from the word of God itself how you can become saved.

1 Corinthians 15:1-4 --->
1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

Acts 16:30-31 --->
30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

"Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law." - Romans 3:28

"But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness." - Romans 4:5

Ephesians 1:12-14 --->
12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.
13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

"Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;" - Titus 3:5

"...In whom (Jesus) we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;" - Ephesians 1:7

Ephesians 2:8-9 --->
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

"For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him." - 2 Corinthians 5:21

"Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:" - Romans 5:1

Romans 5:8-11 --->
8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

"And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:" - Philippians 3:9

"For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death." - 2 Corinthians 7:10

"Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ." - Acts 20:21

3. If you do make the decision to trust in Jesus Christ alone to be saved, that's wonderful! However, you still retain the free will to obey or disobey God. Of course, you should want to obey God after He saved you and do good works; your salvation isn't a license to sin. These verses exhort you to clean up your life, and should definitely be heeded. After you die/or the rapture, you will undergo the judgment seat of Christ (Romans 14:10, 1 Corinthians 3:8-15, 2 Corinthians 5:10-11) where your works as a Christian will be tried by fire.

"For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them." - Ephesians 2:10

"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." - 2 Corinthians 5:17

"And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." - Romans 12:2

Romans 6:1-7 --->
1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.

4*. I'm placing this one here for anyone reading this after the Rapture (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17) and has been left here.

Soon, the Antichrist (Satan manifest in the flesh) will enact what will be known as the "mark of the beast," and they'll make it so that you can't buy or sell if you don't have it. He'll also set himself up as "God" and command that everyone worship him (Revelation 13:15-17).

DO NOT take the mark! It is an automatic ticket to hell (Revelation 14:9-11)! Yes, those times will be VERY hard and brutal, but the Lord Jesus Christ will return to the earth PUBLICLY (Revelation 1:7 and 19:11-13) seven years after the Antichrist confirms a covenant with many (Daniel 9:27), and will put an end to the Antichrist's reign. The time between this covenant and the Lord's return is seven years. Aside from having faith in Jesus, avoid the mark and worship of the Antichrist like the plague, and you will be saved. In fact, you will REIGN with Christ if you endure (Revelation 20:4,6)!

Dealing with thoughts of suicide?

I know this is not an easy thing to talk about and makes everyone uncomfortable, but the fact is that many people think about it and struggle with those sorts of depressing and morbid thoughts. Check out the following sermon about this topic if this is something you are dealing with, and I hope it helps you realize that your life is worth living, and that your life has an impact on those around you.……

The Bee Sting

The Bee Sting

A vacationing family is driving along in their car, windows rolled down, enjoying the warm summer breeze of the sunny day. All of a sudden a big black bee darts in the window and starts buzzing around inside the car. A little girl, highly allergic to bee stings, cringes in the back seat.

If she is stung, she could die within an hour (or sooner).

"Oh, Daddy," she squeals in terror, "it's a bee! It's going to sting me!"

The father pulls the car over to a stop, and reaches back to try to catch the bee. Buzzing towards him, the bee bumps against the front windshield where the father traps it in his fist. Holding it in his closed hand, the father waits for the inevitable sting. The bee stings the father's hand and in pain, the father lets go of the bee.

The bee is loose in the car again. The little girl again panics, "Daddy, it's going to sting me!"

The father gently says, "No honey, he's not going to sting you now. Look at my hand."

The bee's stinger is in my hand!

1 Cor. 15:55 -- "Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?"

Jesus says to us, "Look at my hands."

He has Satan's sting,
the sting of death,
the sting of sin,
the sting of deceit,
the sting of feeling worthless.
Jesus has all of those stingers in His hands.

When you see that nail-scarred hand, realize that, on your behalf, Jesus took all the pain that Satan could throw at Him. He reduced Satan to a big black bee that has lost its stinger -- all Satan can do is buzz around.

That's the victory that Jesus won for you!

Some Awesome Websites - This contains a lot of information on the King James Bible and why it is God's inerrant word in English, and it also answers some of the common objections raised against it.… - This is another site which contains a lot of articles about the KJB, and it tackles a lot of the objections raised against it. It's also a great place to just learn more things about it. - A great website that mainly focuses on dispensational study and some other theological subjects as well.… - A chart showing the two streams of Bibles and how the KJB got to us today. - A radio station that plays Christian music 24/7

I'll put up more sites when I think of them. I also don't blanket support all of them in that I think they're 100% right all the time. If you refer to these sites, please practice discernment. Be a Berean (Acts 17:11).

Hi! I joined DeviantArt at first because I started taking part in a Pokémon Drawing challenge for December 2013. I'm not much of an artist, but I still like drawing, and I'm trying to get better at it. I also compose music and write stories. My mind is usually buzzing with different ideas, and I try to express some of them through these different mediums. As you may see, I am also a Christian. The flurry of stamps on my page might make me look unapproachable, but I'm open to talking about my beliefs, whether it be innocent questions, or questions of skepticism. All I ask though is that you be civil if you have an issue with anything you see. If you are simply trolling, or are resorting to ad hominem attacks, then I won't be open to continuing the conversation. I do my best to be gentle, and I will give as thorough an answer I can, especially if I'm particularly knowledgeable on a certain doctrinal matter. However, you can feel free to talk to me about anything you want, even if it's just a quick "hello" or casual small talk. Thank you for reading, and have a lovely day :)

I plan to do mostly art tomorrow, now that I have two pieces to work on (besides the art project) and then work on Chapter 15 a lot over the weekend. If it goes as planned, I can finish and post it Sunday. After that, I will try to get the epilogue done by the following weekend. It's funny that I originally planned to finish TPTK by next spring, and it's already on the cusp of being finished ^^ I've also been thinking more about the next story, and I finally thought of a title for it yesterday. The biggest obstacle I'm facing with it so far is the pacing, but I don't plan to start writing the story for a while; at least until after the art project is done.
Even though I just published the 13th chapter today, I'm already itching to get chapter 14 rolling, and possibly out before the end of the month. I don't plan for it to be as long as some of the others, but it's going to be quite...heavy.

Update: Now it's out O.O
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand here it is!!!!!!

I hope you like it! :)
For those who are into writing, but struggle often to find the motivation to hunker down and get a lot of it done, there's an interesting site that promotes word count, and just getting words on the page. It also has a cute premise where it gives you a picture of a cute kitten whenever you pass a certain word count. Maybe you'll find it helpful ^^
2 Corinthians 5:18-20
"And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;

To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God."

Romans 1:16
"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek."

1 Corinthians 9:16
For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!"

1 Corinthians 1:17-18
For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.

For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God."

Ephesians 3:9
And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:"

2 Timothy 4:2
"Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine."
The Pope is contrary to the apostle Paul (and the majority of scripture):…
Here is an excellent sermon that goes into why John the Baptist water baptized Israel, and how it related to their prophetic program concerning Jesus and His millennial kingdom:
DeviantArt tip:

I know it can be tempting to do, but it is not a good idea to make call-out, or complaint journals against other users that are purposefully aggravating you. It's best to either politely reason with them, or just block them if they won't listen and are continuing to treat you like garbage. Writing journals about them only makes matters worse because the one aggravating you is now getting extra attention, and they are getting exactly the kind of reaction they want out of you (and thus, they'll keep trying to rile you up). Don't let them have their desire, and just ignore them. In fact, it's best to not even talk about them. If they want to keep talking about you behind your back to their friends, that's their problem. Let them continue to act like a child instead of feeding them attention.

Hi there Matthew, have you watched "Hillsong: Let Hope Rise" in movie theaters? I'd watched it the first 2 times this weekend. ^^; At the first time I'd watched the movie trailers, it got me surprised. At every songs? Scenes, and vibrations? It drove me into tears, my heart cried out, and everything in everyone I saw in that film? Reminded me of old friends I knew. :wow:

At most time during the film? It just made me feel, that it's not going to be the same. Now that I'd moved away from the Hawaiian island, and settled in South Carolina for 2 whole months now. With every hope in my heart praying, looking for another job? Been help by my boyfriend (who's now my fiancé), there's still nothing else. Just me, doing some flashcard videos about my experience of bully and abuse in the workplace, before I publish into my YouTube channel.

You're a lot more wonderful with the scriptures, but for me? I only known little by little. Well, okay, but if you didn't see it yet? You can watch it if you have time. If it's not in the theaters, you can always watch it on DVD, or on Blu-Ray. I'm sorry for the longest comment. ^^;
